I do believe that Odysseus's desire for revenge is common in society today. Most society today belive that if you hurt them or take something from them, whether important to them or not, they will choose revenge. Some may regret it but some may not. That is just where the factor of the conscious comes into play..
I think that Odysseus's revenge is common. Revenge is extremely common in society today, and it probably will be for a while. I guess if no one ever did anything bad to anyone else then we wouldn't have revenge.
Yes his desire for rebenge is common today. Just walking down the hallway and accidently bumping into someone, the person wants to push you back or fight you.
I do not think that Odysseus's desire for revenge is common in today's society. Someone might get very angry because someone is trying to marry their wife, but I don't think that they would kill a whole group of people.
When Odysseus was overwelmed with revenge I wasn't that surprised because here today lots of the time people are always filled with revenge so it is common. You may be able to tell that by looking at all the crime today.

Yes i do believe that his desire for revenge is common in society today. because if you ever watch one of those movies that try to show some what of an example of todays living they have a wife that cheats on her husband and the husband finds them together in his house once he gets back from a long, tiring day of work. what will the movie show him picking up the nearest thing to him and throwing it at him or it showing him picking up a shotgun and blowing both of their heads off. instead of taking it rationally and ditching his wife and moving on.
yes i do believe that odysseus's desire for revenge is common today. but sometimes you can take things to the extremes without even realizing it and end up in a bad posistion.
Yes Odysseus's desire for revenge is VERY common in todays society. Revenge is every where and it doesn't matter how stupid it may be or what its over, people are still gonna do it regaurdless.
*sigh* most of us seem to think that revenge is wrong, but almost acceptable. that's alright, were just kids. none of us have an idea of the outside world. well...most of us. In The Odyssey, Odysseus feels the greatest urge to just finish off the men just waiting for Penelope to take them. Jealousy, hatred, rage, violence...Revenge. it's a nasty feeling, but impowering. That's something our society has become big on. NOT the government. Society. The people want power. I've been there. Ive seen the other sides of America, the difference between Sumter and Sacramento, and Hollywood, to Las Vegas, and Lake of the Ozarks, to the remains of the Alamo in San Antonio, up to the living proof of hardships in the snowy Dakotas. I've seen the lives in Okinawa, Japan; bamberg, Germany; King Khalid for Saudi Arabia, Chieh-Yang, China; I've ventured around the streets of Mexico. Revenge. It's everywhere. But the outside world eventually gets a social grasp and learns that it's hard enough to make your own mistakes- you shouldn't want to be responsible for others'. It's not healthy for our society to be hungry for such unnecessary, unhelpful feeling. It's not something people should thirst for, fuel on. Unfortunately... that's what we have. We're only human.
